About the role
Support the reliability and operational integrity of electronic equities trading systems by monitoring FIX connectivity, responding to incidents, troubleshooting Linux systems, and conducting root cause analysis. Build Python automation, support Kafka on AWS, improve observability and operational practices, and collaborate with trading and development teams on issues involving C++ components. Requires at least five years of applied software engineering experience, strong programming skills in one or more relevant languages, and DevOps or SRE experience in a mission-critical, low-latency environment. Candidates should have practical FIX knowledge, strong Linux troubleshooting and automation skills, effective cross-team communication, and experience using approved AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly.
